Having completed his schooling in Australia, Daniel graduated from Oxford University in 2000. He then moved to the United States to join Tyco Electronics Corporation, the world's largest supplier of passive electronic components, where he worked as part of Tyco's in-house M&A team. Upon his return to the UK, Daniel joined Moore Stephens Corporate Finance, where he advised clients on a range of transaction types. He continued his education in his spare time, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (ACA) in 2004. Daniel devotes most of his time to working in Livingstone's media:tech sector, with a focus on software and online media, and the Consumer sector team.
