With six deals across the Healthcare industry in 2011 alone, Livingstone launches Healthcare as its fifth global sector team.
Livingstone Partners is leveraging its extensive experience of the global Healthcare industry in the United States by establishing a fifth firm-wide dedicated sector team.
Following the arrival of Managing Director James Moskal at Livingstone Chicago from Lazard three years ago, the firm had raised the tempo of its involvement in Healthcare sector M&A significantly. Livingstone has completed six Healthcare transactions across its four offices so far in 2011, including:
- the sales of UK pharmacovigilance consultancy WCI, US medication dispensing programs manager Dispensing Solutions, and German manufacturer of catheters, probes, implants and monitors for intracranial pressure Spiegelberg;
- the acquisition by Scrip Products of US medical equipment distributor Allegro Medical;
- the merger of medical support services providers Exploration Logistics and MEDEX to create global market leader Frontier MEDEX; and
- a major growth capital fundraising for European medtech distribution group, The GADA Group.

The team’s principal focus will be on advising clients with mid-market transactions in the Medical Devices and Equipment and Healthcare Services sectors. They are also subject to the constant structural shift as they become subject to the pressures of global consolidation. As a result, they lend themselves readily to Livingstone’s cross-border M&A capability and focus on mid-market deal values.”
