After graduating from Durham University, Neil joined his family business, and was actively involved in the sale of that groups of companies in a cross-border deal. Neil has lived in Spain since 1985, and working in M&A since 1991. He was the founding partner of what is now Livingstone Spain. He has led deals in a variety of sectors, including construction products, industrial manufacturing, transport and logistics and food many of which have been international in nature. He has been responsible for a significant amount of leverage buy-outs. Neil currently heads the Retail and Leisure sector at Livingstone Spain. He speaks at several prestigious conferences in Spain and also teaches at the Instituto de Empresa, one of Europe's leading business schools.

Marta has a degree in Business Studies and a Masters in Finance and Stock Exchange. Upon graduating she worked in the management department of a private bank. Since 2002 Marta has worked as an M&A analyst for Livingstone partners. Marta's work is focused on sector analysis, company valuations and project management especially in the food and drink, packaging and consumer products sectors.

Paul studied Law with French Law and Language at the University of East Anglia in Norwich and spent a year in France at l’Université Jean Moulin in Lyon. Upon graduating Paul joined James Cowper in Reading where he worked as an Auditor and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2003. The following year Paul transferred to the firm’s Corporate Finance department where he worked on a variety of transactions for unquoted companies across a range of sectors. Paul joined Livingstone in January 2007.

With a degree in Business Management and a Masters in Tax advice, Javier has worked in several national and multinational firms as Finance Director, in industries such as Advertising, Textile Manufacturing and Retail and Electronics. He joined the predecessor of Livingstone Spain in 1999, and he has completed numerous deals across a range of sectors, including manufacturing, software, and financial services. Drawing on his corporate experience, Javier primarily focuses on light manufacturing and services, and is responsible for the media and marketing services team.

After gaining her Degree in Economic Sciences from Hasselt University (Belgium), Elena worked for over a year as a junior M&A consultant in the Netherlands (Strategy & Finance, B.V.) after which she moved back to Spain and joined in 2001 the Madrid team of Livingstone partners as an M&A executive and coordinator for the firm’s international projects. As deal originator for the company, Elena is responsible for the origination and development of national and international transactions with Livingstone Partners in its various territories. Steven graduated from the Universtiy of Southern California in Los Angeles (USA) with a business degree and qualified as a Certified Public Accountant with Arthur Andersen in San Francisco and Brussels. He earned an MBA from the London Business School. He has over 20 years experience as a finance director in the oilfield services, logistics and media sectors, where he was involved in a variety of strategic M&A transactions. Since he joined Livingstone in 2005, Steven has been involved in cross border deals involving the United States, England, Belgium and Germany. He has closed transactions in the business services sector and he has many contacts within the Spanish industrial sector.

Bill has over 15 years of experience in investment banking, responsible for the generation and execution of financial adviory transactions including mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt advisory, privatizations and special operations.
Before he joined Livingstone in 2008 as a Partner, Bill was Executive Director and founding member of the Madrid office of Lazard; Director and Head of Mergers and Acquisitions of Banco Central Hispanoamericano in Madrid and Senior Associate in Salomon Brothers International Ltd. in London.

Eva earned a degree in Administración y Dirección de Empresas from Universidad de Valencia, and has a Master in Quantitative Finance. She started her career in a family company, then she joined Bancaja working in the structuring of capital market financing transactions. In June 2006 she started working in the financial department of an important real estate group structuring the financing of transactions. Eva joined Livingstone in 2007.

Following completion of both a Bachelor of Business Studies (Universitat Ramon Llul, Barcelona) as well as a Masters in Corporate Finance & Law (ESADE, Barcelona), José Luis started his career as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Barcelona. He was quickly promoted to be a senior consultant in PwC Transaction Services department where he was actively involved in domestic and international due diligence processes in a wide range of sectors such as financial services, healthcare, general industry and technology. Prior to this, José Luis also worked in an insurance company, Aresa, and a financial institution, La Caixa de Pensions i Estalvis.

After finishing his studies, Ximo began working in the Fundación de Estudios Bursátiles y Financieros (Foundation of Market and Financial Studies), a part of the Valencia Stock Exchange, as a member of the team that developed the Mercado de Futuros de Cítricos (Futures Market for Citrus Products). In 1997 he joined what is now Livingstone, where he began working on M&A activities with Neil Collen. In 2004 he was promoted to Director of the firm and in 2007 he became a partner of the firm alongside Neil Collen. Ximo has had many years experience with private equity in Spain, and has closed deals in facilities management, IT and light manufacturing. Ximo currently heads our IT sector team.
